The seeds were collected off our pure Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut trees we directed seeded into the ground in 2018. The pollinating parent is could have been from one of our Castanea Mollissima trees in the orchard, so one of the key benefits you’ll be getting is a stronger blight resistance. This should make an excellent wildlife tree and produce chestnuts in a short time
Trees are grown from seed each Spring in 3-gallon air pruning pots. This method promotes better root growth, leading to faster growth, less transplant shock, and eliminates root circling seen in typical retail pots. We prioritize quality over quantity. This year, demand surpasses supply with fewer than 400 seeds available. We sold out by June last year, so please reserve your trees today!
