Introducing Arkansas’s

largest Chestnut Orchard

Owners of Chestnuts In the Ozarks

It all begins with a dream, hard work, and a passion to support it. With each chestnut seed sown, a tree emerges with roots of sustainability. Sustainability in the sense of providing food for current and future generations while providing a vital role in capturing carbon and supporting regenerative agriculture. Often called the bread tree around the globe, the Chestnut is experiencing a resurgence in the United States where it continues to be consumed globally at scale for thousands of years!

Some of the largest one year old trees you will find anywhere!

Our trees are started from seed in March and most reach heights of six feet or more in a single year, while a few have topped out at nine feet tall! The saying you can’t buy time is so true when it comes to trees. A good majority of our chestnut trees start producing chestnuts as early as year three.

Why Chestnuts?

Sadly, most Americans’ connection with chestnuts is the song you may hear at Christmas, titled Chestnuts roasting over an open fire. The chestnut is one of the most versatile nuts in the market today. Incredible versatility in that anything you can produce with wheat flour could be produced with flour from chestnuts. Let’s not also forget about the ability to make beer and liquor too!
